One Whole Year …
It is very hard to believe that today is my one year anniversary with Georgetown ISD! It has been an exciting year and only getting to see them on occasional weekends. The hardest part was being separated from the family. The work has been very rewarding. It was a year full of both challenges and victories. A change in leadership, passing a $137 million bond, developing a transition plan for two high schools, and now dealing with boundaries and budget shortfalls. I have had the privilege of working with a great Board, Superintendent, some talented co-workers, and great media partners. In addition, I truly enjoyed getting out in the community and getting to know folks from the City of Georgetown, the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, the Georgetown Symphony Society, The Georgetown Rotary Club, and the Georgetown Partners in Education. I look forward to many more years of being associated with great people and taking on the challenges of the future.
